The Cold Existence

Death metal band from Sweden. Originally formed in mid 1998 as "Cold" by Jan Sallander, the name changed to "The Cold Existence" in December 1999.

Cold Existence got the first stable line-up inJanuary 2001. Before that, Jan S. was leading a melodic death metal band called "Cold" in which Jan H. was involved during the year 2000. Due to various problems such as members jumping on and off the band and a long distance to the rehearsal room, the band was more or less put to sleep. It was not until Björn and Patrik entered in January 2001 and the band got a decent rehearsal room in Gothenburg that things started to spin off.

During 2001 the band produced a repertoire of 10 songs, performed two gigs in Gothenburg and recorded a 8 song CD in the rehearsal room for own use. In the first half of 2002 they started planning to release a studio recorded demo CD.
