The Creatures were formed in 1981 as side-project of Siouxsie & The Banshees members Siouxsie Sioux and Budgie (who were married between 1991 and 2007). In 1996 the project turned into their full-time group. 2005 marked the end of the project. (In October 2021, Budgie launched the Curious Creatures podcast with Laurence Tolhurst of which the name is a pun referring to The Cure and The Creatures. It is not directly related to The Creatures.)
