American rock band founded in 2000 in Los Angeles, California, by Mike Campbell as a writing and club-date project outside Tom Petty And The Heartbreakers. Named after a faulty guitar amplifier dial.

For releases credited as "Mike Campbell & The Dirty Knobs" or variations thereof, please enter as "The Dirty Knobs" with the appropriate artist name variation (ANV).

Originally formed as a trio, with Mike Campbell, guitar and vocals; Ron Blair, bass; Steve Ferrone, drums. Later joined by Jason Sinay on guitar, who left 2022.

Current lineup: Mike Campbell, guitar and vocals; Chris Holt, guitar; Lance Morrison, bass; Matt Laug, drums.
