    The Executioners

Youngstown, Ohio 1962-6 A legendary Ohio band (Richard Yeager - Vocals / Saxophone, Ed Wasczak - Lead Guitar, Dick Strojny - Organ, Andy Glista - Bass, Terry Grimm - Drums) that got all of Mahoning Valley rockin' in the early 60s with their brand of tight R&B styled instros. They scored big local hits with "The Guillotine" and "The Noose", and acted the part on stage with executioner dress and props (several years before Alice Cooper). They made a successful transition to british-influnenced garage rock with their last 45 "I Want the Rain" on Swan records.
