The Gee Tee's

The group was from Rome, Georgia. When they recorded their only release the members were Lin Butler, Ron Ammons, Bruce Bryant, Eddie Godfrey, Danny Willingham, and Tommy Ables. Like many groups of the day, members came and went. Members in the first photo, from left to right: Tommy Ables, Zane Nicholson, Lin Butler, Bruce, Bryant, Nicky Gossett, and Ron Ammons.

Notes on the recording: According to Butler, “Dog” was actually titled “Don’t”, but was misprinted on the label. “It was printed as ‘Dog”, not ‘Don’t’, and we saw it, but it was either send them back for a reprint or keep them, and we were so excited we kept them with ‘Dog’. I hated that, but we wanted to get it out. This was 1966 or 1967 when we cut it at Perfection Records.”
