About

American vocal quartet active in the late 1940s and early 1950s, who originally started in 1946 with Tommy Tucker under the name of The Two Timers. Their name was changed to The Heathertones when they started working with Ray Heatherton in 1947. In 1948–1952, the group consisted of Jean Swain, Nancy Swain Overton, Bix Brent, and Marianne McCormick. They also recorded with Benny Goodman, Buddy Greco, and Tommy Dorsey, and performed regularly on network TV. The group disbanded in 1953.
