The Invincible Czars

The Invincible Czars are an adventurous, eclectic band from Austin, TX. They make music for thinkers, geeks, nerds and seekers/lovers of all things in the “other” category. The group has come to operate more like an arts collective in recent years with seasonal material, a rotating cast that revolves around a core group and ambitious projects that most rock bands would never think to try. They started out making their own brand of weird rock music in the clubs but quickly put a foot in the arts scene. In 2007, they began accompanying silent films with their own live soundtracks at the original Alamo Drafthouse. They found that they were well suited to the format and kept adding movies to their repertoire. Silent film work has become their primary focus and almost the only live performances they give anymore, but they still release recorded music that's not related to film.
