The Lauries

Fine-Art Pop-Vocal, A-Cappella & Doo Wop band from the Ruhr Region / Germany.

The Lauries were formed from the predecessor band "The Checkmates".
While the Checkmates still stood for classic doo-wop in the style of Dion & the Belmonts or the Crests, The Lauries turned to the danceable swinging harmony style of the Four Aces, Playmates or Three Chuckles.

In 2011 "The Lauries" were:

A later member was Dirk ‘Roy Sanders’ Konzack, who passed away on 30 June 2018.

The Lauries worked on a second album entitled ‘All Aboard’. However, there is no information about its release on the internet. The song "Why" was also recorded for the album and is included on the compilation album [r18412918].
