The Mary Jane Band

American/Canadian female r&b punk-funk vocal group. Best known for recording and touring with Rick James and the Stone City Band on his Street Songs World Tour 1981-1982. Also, individually, they appeared on many other projects Rick produced for Motown. Joanne McDuffie, Lisa Sarna, and Tabby Johnson were the first three singers who were credited as the "Mary Jane Girls" on releases from 1981-1982, before Joanne McDuffie and three new group members got signed in 1983 to Motown as the Mary Jane Girls.
