From 1935 to 1976 The Philadelphia Orchestra was presented as The Robin Hood Dell Orchestra for the summer concert series held at Robin Hood Dell. The series moved in 1976 into a new facility Robin Hood Dell West (which was renamed in 1979 as the Mann Music Center and in 2000 as the Mann Center for the Performing Arts) in West Fairmount Park with an approximate capacity of about 14,000 in 1976.
