About

Mansfield, Ohio 1964-7
This popular group was fronted by lead guitarist Tom Zinser, thus acquiring the name "Tommy Z and the Sleepers". In 1966 they recorded two songs at Audio Recording in Cleveland, both written by Zinser. "I Want a Love" is a strong fast garage rocker with raw fuzz guitar, while the flip, "Time Will Tell" is a folk-rocker. The 45 was moderately successful, getting some regional airplay and selling several hundred copies. The group disbanded in early '67.
