The Grammy-nominated orchestra The String Theory is an international artist collective based in Berlin, Gothenburg, and Los Angeles that continuously explores the outskirts of contemporary neo-classical and electronic music. it was founded in 2007, based on an idea of Patrick Christensen and Ben Lauber. The ensemble has toured the USA and Europe five times with long-term collaborator José González and released five albums – one of which – 'Sekou Andrews & The String Theory' – was nominated for a Grammy 2020.
