Born: July 7, 1916 in Newport News, Virginia.
Died: March 4, 1989 in New York City, New York.
Started as a drummer and one-finger pianist before switching to four-string tenor guitar. Tiny played with Art Tatum (1943-'44), Billie Holiday, with his own groups (with Charlie Parker and Red Prysock), and recorded with Coleman Hawkins, Illinois Jacquet, Pepper Adams, Roy Eldridge, Earl Hines and others.
