Cape Verdean singer. She was one of the most authentic voices of Cape Verde, following the tradition of the greatest singers in the country. Born in the cultural capital of Mindelo, on the island of São Vicente, Titina sang in the arms of one of the great masters of Cape Verdean music, B. Leza, when she was just 6 years old. At the age of 12, she began singing in public and being broadcast on radio stations. She recorded her first single when she was 15 years old. (b. São Vicente, Cape Verde, 1947 - d.
