Tivolis Symfoniorkester

Tivolis Symfoniorkester is the previous name of the philharmonic orchestra of Tivoli, Copenhagen. The current name of the orchestra is Tivoli Copenhagen Phil. It it resides at Tivoli, Copenhagen. The history of the orchestra dates back to 1843 when H.C. Lumbye was engaged as responsible for music in the Tivoli Gardens. Ever since, the orchestra has performed in the gardens during the summer season.

The orchestra also functions as the philharmonic orchestra of the city of Copenhagen under the name Copenhagen Phil (previously Københavns Filharmoniske Orkester) as well as regional orchestra of the island of Zealand under the name Sjællands Symfoniorkester.
