Christian music songwriter, musician, recording artist

Tom Booth has been composing music since a young age. His experiences as a college student studying music, religion and philosophy at the University of Arizona and participating in liturgy, prayer and community at the St. Thomas More Catholic Newman Center helped shape his future in pastoral ministry. Since those early days, Tom has spent decades helping young people and their families discover God’s love through music, worship and prayer.

He has written countless songs for prayer, worship, liturgy and personal reflection, including songs he performed for Saint Teresa of Calcutta and Pope Saint John Paul II. Tom has released nine collections as a solo artist, including You Welcomed Me in 2017. Three of his songs have reached #1 on Christian radio, and his songs “Sacred Silence,” “Here I Am,” “I Will Choose Christ” and others have become touchstones of prayer for countless people and parishes.

Through the years, Tom has brought his gentle, yet powerful, performing style to concerts, parish missions, conferences and youth events, mixing story, song and prayer to create unforgettable experiences for audiences around the world. He is a veteran of major national and international conferences and gatherings.

Tom is currently working for OCP Publications as an associate director on the Music Development team. He also serves on the staff at the UA Newman Center—where it all began so many years ago! He lives in Tucson, Arizona, with his wife Tammy Booth. They have three children and one grandchild.
