    Tony And Reality was a continuation of funk band Reality as fronted by Tony Sherman (real name Renold Shearman). Reality had been founded in 1970 by a.o. Sherman, Franky Douglas and Glenn Gaddum. In 1973, the band had gone through some line-up changes and released their 2nd, self-titled album as Tony And Reality. Soon after, the band split. Tony Sherman went solo, while Franky Douglas and Glenn Gaddum formed funk band Solat, recording two 7" singles with Billy Jones as lead singer and a 7" single backing Dulfer & Perikels.
