Tony Margeta

Swedish conductor, choir teacher and music teacher, living in Ockelbo, born December 7, 1972 in Bergsjön, Gothenburg.

He is educated at the University of Music in Gothenburg. He has studied conducting with Birgitta Persson, Mats Nilsson, Mats Paulson, Jan Yngwe, Gunno Palmquist, Gunnar Eriksson and Eric Ericson. Tony Margeta was a member of Gothenburg Cathedral's Boys' Choir 1980–1993 and rehearser and deputy conductor for the beginner groups in the boys' choir 1991–1993. With Falu Kammarkör, he has won the Grieg Grand Prix at the Grieg International Choir Festival in Bergen in 2007 and the Grand Prix at the Chorfestspiele Bad Krozingen in 2015.

Since autumn 2015, he has been working as a music teacher and choir teacher at Adolf Fredrik Musikskola in Stockholm, where he and his choir won the Västerås choir competition the first year together. From 2017, Tony Margeta is the conductor and artistic director of Adolf Fredriks Gosskör. From 2022, he is also conductor and artistic director of Stockholm's Gaykör.
