Musician with Italian roots born Sep. 26, 1915 in Fresno, CA - died Mar. 4, 2005 in Santa Ana, CA. He first started to perform when he was a child. He frequently worked with John Bradford, first as a performer, later on as composer. He also was a close friend of Joe Venuti who praised his guitar playing. Other friends in music were Meredith Willson, Morey Amsterdam and Ray Heindorf. During WW2 he performed with Ann Sheridan and Bob Hope add also did radio shows, as well as working as arranger and composer for films.

Among the many singers he accompanied or arranged are Frances Langford, Frank Sinatra, Bing Crosby, Judy Garland, Rosemary Clooney, Johnny Mathis, Mario Lanza, Peggy Lee, Vic Damone and [a=Andrews Sisters]. Famous Jazz artists he worked with are Harry Warren, Benny Goodman, Stan Getz, Dizzy Gillespie, Artie Shaw, Tommy Dorsey, Jimmy Dorsey, Paul Whiteman and Bobby Hackett. He also co-wrote songs with many famous writers, including Johnny Burke, George Gershwin, Irving Berlin, Harold Arlen and Hoagy Carmichael.
