Torgny Melin's

Swedish dance band from Säffle in Värmland which was formed in 1983. It consists of Torgny Melin (guitar, saxophone and vocals), Tommy Pettersson (bass and vocals), Tony Eriksson (vocals and keyboards), Peter Nordhström (drums and vocals) and Stefan Haglund ( saxophones, guitar and vocals).
Torgny Melins performed at the Arvika Festival and the Hultsfred Festival in 2006, and thus became the first dance band at the Hultsfred Festival since Sven-Ingvars was there in 1991. The band is known for their covers of Teddybears Sthlm's songs on the album "Dansbander" from 2006. In addition, they have made the original music to the movie "Soon it's Saturday again" from 2007.
In May-June 2007, TV4 broadcast a documentary series about the band's life during the festival gigs in 2006, Torgny Melins - from Säffle to Stureplan. In 2007 the band also recorded the duet "Ska du gå din väg" with Kikki Danielsson on the band's album Allting som vi har.
The band also participated in the Dance Band Competition 2009, where they were one of the finalists.
In March 2011, the band timed out.
