About

TREZ is a product of New York City. Born in Manhattan, his family moved to Astoria, Queens shortly after, where he still resides to this day. TREZ first made a name for himself through graffiti, tagging his name all over New York. At the same time he was becoming overwhelmed by hip-hop and would listen to tapes by his favorite rappers. But as he got older and the streets became more corrupt and daring, so did TREZ. He entered the drug game and brazenly walked down a road that had lead many of his friends and associates to jail cells. But while having to look over his shoulder in the streets, TREZ was also writing rhymes and perfecting his craft, determined to follow in the footsteps of the Queens MC’s that came before him.

After refusing offers which would have put him too deep in the drug game, TREZ decided to get out completely and hit the recording studio full time. Working with long-time friend and producer Ric Rude (Prodigy, Funk Master Flex, Jadakiss, M.O.P., Dipset, Big Noyd, Infamous Mobb), TREZ completed hundreds of songs and released several mixtapes & 12” singles including the B-Side of Kool G Rap’s "Take a Loss" (Fat Beats, 2001), "Move Like This" feat. Tragedy Khadafi & Littles (Fat Beats, 2002) which was the 1 independent record for 10 weeks in Beat Street Records (BKLYN), "Under the Hellgate" mixtape (Fat Beats,2003) and the "Street Knowledge" mixtape (Fat Beats, 2004). TREZ also appeared on DJ JS-1's "Ground Original" album (Fat Beats, 2002) "Claimstake" album (Studio Distribution, 2003) & "Rahzels Greatest Knockouts" (Sureshot, 2004).

Progress was being made, but after having an album shelved, the rap game began looking like a dead end. Faced with no other alternative, TREZ jumped back into the drug game, ultimately leading to his arrest in the summer of 2003 for drug possession. Knowing that this was not the life he wanted to lead and feeling like his talent was being wasted, TREZ got back in the studio and completed the “Lethal Weapon” album featuring Tragedy Khadafi (Brass One Records, 2009), and his “Escape From New York” solo album/DVD which is now being worked on.
