Uday Shanker (8 December 1900 – 26 September 1977) was a pioneering Indian dancer, choreographer, and leader of a Hindu folk/traditional/classical ensemble performing Indian music. Shankar was the father of Ananda Shankar and Mamata Shankar, grandfather of Ratul Shankar, brother of Rajendra Shankar and Ravi Shankar, and uncle of Shubho Shankar, Norah Jones, and Anoushka Shankar.
