Undercover Slut

Undercover Slut (also known as UCS and stylized as VNDERCOVER SLVT) is a French/American shock rock and glam-punk-indus group, formed in October of 1995 and based in Paris, France. Although the group are most often referred to as Industrial, they have been known to mix elements of different music styles into their music, such as; Punk rock, Shock rock, Industrial metal, Electro, Deathrock, topped off with an image similar to glam rock. Throughout the history of the band there have been multiple line-up changes, a plethora of people have been involved with the band, while certain musicians do contribute music, vocalist and lyricist 'O' remains the only constant member. Each band member pick up an alias on a list drawn up specifically by 'O'. Undercover Slut have been a feature in underground music, particularly in Europe since the 1990s, though they have also toured the United States several times. In terms of musical releases, the band has put out many self-produced recordings, their first official full-length album was Communism Is Fascism released in 2004, and which has gained them attention. – The band has existed in various forms since October 1995. Going through numerous line-up changes with leader O remaining as the only constant member, before arriving at their relatively stable current line-up of; O, 96, Pills, and Fuse. Members of Undercover Slut are only known by their stage names. The name of the band comes from the american underground comix : "Wendy Whitebread Undercover Slut" by Anton Drek ('O' : I always wanted to be in a band with a swearword in it's name, something to do with sex... That's why I stole the name from that pornographic comic book Wendy Whitebread Undercover Slut"). During the 1990s, Undercover Slut self-released various E.P.s though their own Hateful Society Production label. Their first demo album "Lipstikk Whore #666" was released only in Japan through Scream. 2004 saw the band releasing their second demo album "Fuck That Celebrity Trash & Your Ghetto Cunt Drama". Shortly after that, Undercover Slut signed to Apokalypse Records, they released their first proper album "Communism Is Fascism" on this label. Before leaving Apokalypse Records the following year, for Free Will Records in July of 2005 Frontman 'O', has cited punk rock bands Sex Pistols, the New York Dolls and Corporate Avenger as an influence on Undercover Slut, this is mirrored in their music, which follows anti-establishment themes. The band are passionate about campaigning for Animal rights, and are said to be devout vegans, they have also played an anti-pedophilia concert. In interviews 'O' often refers to their hometown as "Psychotic Paris, Fucked-up France". Undercover Slut have toured the United States three times, and are planning to tour there from a fourth time in 2006, tours of the United States are normally promoted as "Amerikkka Tour". A probable Ice Cube reference. Though the group play predominantly Industrial rock music, they have been covered by Glam media sources, and even had a song released on a Glam compilation for Delinquent Records. This is most likely because of their image, which incorporates heavy use of make-up. Their make-up bares a resemblance to that of the geisha and Japanese Kabuki, with striking white foundation topped off with bright red lipstick and black eye make-up. What did not kill them, made them crazier... After more than a decade of religiously dropping DIY EP's, controversial LP's ("Amerikkka Macht Frei", "Communism Is Fascism"), touring the western world (6 successful US Tours over 6 years, Sold-Out headlining shows in NYC, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, San Diego...), shockin' & rockin' a cult following of Goth chicks, Punk rockers, Heavy Metal kids, fashionistas & faux bourgeois in Paris or London RNR landmarks, VNDERCOVER SLVT worldwide domination masterplan has been put on hold for not only one, but two sabbatical years. During that 24-month hyatus, core members went through death related depression, a nearly fatal accident, antidepressant diet, anorexia/bulimia/insomnia, the priceless joy of a birth, alcoholism & various substances' addiction, the bitter wake-up call to half a dozen OD's & the sweet perfume of a rehab program. Surviving members, Shock Rock Kingpin, 'O' and his long time partner-in-crime, DRAG, along with a soon to be named cast of nasties are now back with PURE white noise deliciously baptised as "ELECTROSICK", complete with outspoken vitriolic lyrics, focused & crystal clear on today's decline of civilization as some of us noticed it. "Chloroform Nation" is VNDERCOVER SLVT brand new smash hit single, spitting attitude & panache, about to hit those airwaves & dirty dancefloors South, East, North & West.
