Valor

About

Founder of Pompeii 99, who initially became the guitarist in the second line-up of Christian Death when the band fused with Rozz Williams towards the end of 1983. In addition to penning the majority of the music for 1984's "Catastrophe Ballet", Valor further performed instruments which imbued the sound of Christian Death with classical elements, including violin, cello and piano on "Ashes". Following Williams' departure from the group on the eve of a European tour in spring 1985, Valor became the lead male vocalist and prime lyricist of Christian Death, whilst simultaneously continuing his role as composer, guitarist and multi-instrumentalist. He has continued in this capacity to the present day through numerous line-up changes, taking in a vast number of styles and philosophical concerns in his music and texts.
