A mysterious figure on the Chicago soul scene and a one time member of the group The Steelers (who had a big hit with "Get It From The Bottom" on Date records in 1969) Wallace recorded as a solo artist on a host of the city´s labels, including all of Brunswick´s subsidiaries (BRC, Dakar & Bashie) as well as other locals like Renee, Innovation II and Now Sound, but never on Brunswick itself. Even though Wallace and his often used producer Wille Henderson never broke any sales records, the quality is consistently high
