Wally Gonzalez (died 23 July, 2021 from a cardiac arrest, due to a positive covid-19 test, aged 71) was a Filipino bluesman, guitarist and bass guitarist. In 1968 he founded the Juan De La Cruz Band, along with lead singer and drummer Joey Smith (aka "Pepe") and bass player Mike Hanopol. Gonzalez was dubbed as "the quiet Juan De La Cruz" because of his non-flamboyant lifestyle. He was also a businessman who worked as a shipping company’s treasurer for ten years. In 1995, he founded the band Wally And Friends.
