Walter Zweifel

Swiss keyboardist, songwriter, producer and engineer, born in Berna on April 4, 1955. Married to journalist and songwriter Laura Patocchi-Zweifel.

From 1972 to 1976 he studied at Winterthur Conservatory.
From 1976 to 1980 he studied as organist at the Conservatory and Musikakademie in Zurich with Hans Vollenweider.
In the 1980's he started working prolifically as composer, arranger, and keyboardist, and learned sound techniques in several recording studios. He was involved in many European and Canadian productions.
From 1992 to 1995 he was the musical director for «Polygon» theatre in Zurich.
In 1996 he started to compose the music on the poem “Via Crucis” written by the poet Pericle Patocchi.
