Belgian pianist, organist, accordionist, singer, composer, arranger, producer and orchestra leader, born August 11, 1939 in Roeselare, Beveren - died in 2016. He was also known as Jean Jacques and Werner Bruno and lived in Ostend. The father of Nancy Boyd.
At age six he is already an accordion-virtuoso and wins first prizes everywhere since 1946. In 1950 he becomes Belgian champion in the junoir-category and is in music school studying piano. At age 14 he directs his own composed oratiorium "De Mariae vita", for solists, mixed choir and small orchestra at Beveren. There are 400 people in the audience. Before he starts to tour Werner owns a musical instruments and equipment shop in Roeselare. He also teaches music in the local music college. He recorded and toured with Josephine Baker, Ray Charles, Petula Clark, The Platters, Gilbert Becaud and many others. He did many shows in Belgium and beyond: Hilton hotels, casino's, Belgian National Television (BRT), KRO and WDR. He played at Casino Kursaal in Ostend, Belgium for many years. Bruynooghe plays solo as a pianist-entertainer, as Trio Jean Jacques, Quintet Jean Jacques, J. Jacques And His Singing Girls (8 persons), The Big Band J. Jacques (12 persons) and so on.
