Wheezing Maniac was a skate rock band formed in the Southern California desert town of El Centro in 1987 that later moved to San Diego. Although they only played three gigs during their short-lived active years, they became quite popular in the skateboarding scene thanks to the inclusion of their songs "Dollar on a Platter" and "Don’t Come Close" in H-Street's seminal Hokus Pokus video.
