White Heat

White Heat is a heavy metal band from New Orleans, Louisiana, USA, that was formed in 1981 under the name Onyx. In 1982, the band changed its name to White Heat. In the 2000s, the band reformed under the name U4EA. Not to be confused with [a=White Heat (12)] from Virginia, [a=White Heat (19)] from New York, [a=White Heat (3)], [a=White Heat (8)], [a=White Heat (11)] and [a=White Heat (17)] from the United Kingdom, [a=White Heat (9)] from Canada and [a=White Heat (15)] from Germany.

The band changed its name to White Heat in 1981 after recruiting new lead singer Jeff Hatrix. In 1984, he went on to relocate back to his hometown Cleveland, Ohio, and co-found Purgatory in 1984, his own band Hatrix in 1989, and the internationally known industrial/alternative band Mushroomhead in 1994.
