American actress, dancer, and occasional singer.
She was also known as Wini Shaw to American cinema goers, and after marrying her second husband, William O Malley, she became Winifred O'Malley.
Born: 25th February 1907, in San Francisco, California, USA.
Died: 2nd May 1982, in New York City, New York, USA. [aged 75].
She is probably best remembered for introducing the song "Lullaby of Broadway" in the 1935 musical Gold Diggers of 1935.
She started her show biz career as child in her parents' vaudeville act. She made only one record (though it was released multiple times) because of a clause in her Warner Brothers contract. It was the 78 of "Lullaby of Broadway" (side A) and "I'm Goin' Shoppin' With You" (side B), Decca 408.
