About

Japanese electronic music unit founded by [a=Sohichiro Suzuki] in 1983. The group incorporates a wide range of music from rock, techno to ambient. Debuted in 1984 with the cassette album "[r28078534]" produced by Haruomi Hosono. Their self-titled album, "World Standard", released in 1985 on the Teichiku Records sub-label Non-Standard, was remastered and reissued under the supervision of Sohichiro Suzuki in 2021. After engaging in other projects, they released the album "[r2155046]" in 1994 on the label Non-Standard. While fundamentally grounded in environmental sounds, their music presents a distinctive, borderless sonic character.
