    Yoshito Machida

    Japanese pop/soul singer, born in Tosa, Kochi Prefecture on September 21, 1946. He debuted as lead singer of the the Japanese folk group Castle & Gates. He then formed Zoo Nee Voo while in college in 1968, also as lead singer. After Zoo Nee Voo disbanded in 1971, he became a solo artist, releasing songs for animation and the cinema.
