Japanese singer. Wife of Masaki Iwamoto. Kokubu made her debut in 1983 and her song “Akogare," released in 1995, became the ending theme of NTV program Shitteru Tsumori (Do You Really Know About It?!), which was on the air for one year. Since 1996, she has been working as a Christian and has released hymn albums that rewrite the lyrics of traditional hymns in an easy-to-understand manner.
