NSBM / pagan black metal band from Sondershausen, Thuringia, Germany.
The band was formed in 1992, than briefly changed name to In Ketten in 1994/1995 and later changed name again to Absurd.

In 2017 Hendrik Möbus assembled a line-up to perform live as Absurd at Asgardsrei.
In 2019, [a=Gelal Necrosodomy] joined [a=Unhold] and was featured in the EPs Pure Darkness (2020) and Grabgesang (2021) released by [a=Absurd (29)]; Wolf performed vocals in the latter EP, but has since left the band permanently to focus on a different project.
In 2022, [a=Hendrik Möbus] released a new album as Absurd.
