Chris Cross

Born 14th July 1952 in Tottenham, London, England, UK and passed away 25th March 2024.
English musician, best known as the bass guitarist in the group Ultravox. As [a=Chris St John (2)] he was bass player with [a=Tiger lily (2)] from 1974; as punk was starting to happen the band changed its name mid '76 to Ultravox! and Chris elected to call himself [a=Chris Cross] coinciding with the recording their eponymous debut album. He continued to play bass (and some keyboards) in the later line-up of Ultravox until 1986 and in 2008 he re-joined the 'classic' [m=4983]-era line-up of the band for a successful reunion tour.
Brother of Jeff Allen of 70s glam-pop-rock band [a=Hello].
