Core members Johnette Napolitano (vocals, bass) and Jim Mankey (guitar) founded [a=Dreamers (40)] in 1982, later becoming L.A. Dreamers, then Dream 6 in 1983, and finally Concrete Blonde in 1986.

Other members have included Harry Rushakoff (drums), Alan Block (guitar/bass), Paul Thompson (drums), and Gabriel Ramirez-Quezada (drums).
