From 1989 to 1993 Torsten Fenslau and Peter Zweier were the producers of Culture Beat. After the death of Torsten Fenslau in 1993, his brother Frank Fenslau decided to continue the project together with Peter Gräber.
Culture Beat worked with several vocalists over the years:
Lana E. from 1989 to 1993
Tania Evans from 1993 to 1998
Jay Supreme from 1990 to 1998
Kim Sanders from 1998 to 1999
and Jackie Sangster, who joined Culture Beat in 2001.
The Supreme/Evans collaboration was the most successful, as most of their greatest hits are to be found in that period: "Mr. Vain", "Inside Out", "Take Me Away" and "Walk The Same Line".
