Best known as former member of the hip hop group Black Sheep, which was part of the Native Tongues collective of artists.
Later rejoined with Mista Lawnge for a long overdue Black Sheep third album entitled "8WM / Novakane" (2007)"; however shortly afterwards, Mista Lawnge left the group leaving Dres to continue to release music under the Black Sheep name.
