Egg Hunt was a one-off studio collaboration between ex-Minor Threat members and Dischord Records owners Ian MacKaye and Jeff Nelson. The duo recorded a two-song single while in England over Easter weekend (which served as the inspiration to form the project's name) in 1986. Plans to continue the project with former Gray Matter members Geoff Turner and Steve Niles rounding out the band never came to fruition, although Steve, Geoff, and Jeff would soon form Three. Egg Hunt marked the last time Ian and Jeff would record together.
