Felipe Lara

Flamencologist and Spanish flamenco singer, born in Don Benito (Badajoz - Spain) on April 12, 1945. He began his artistic career with the name "Felipe "El Extremeño"" and later as Felipe Lara. In his wide and long curriculum it is not easy to assign him a label that defines his profession: singer, lyricist, producer, poet, writer, teacher, flamencologist, lecturer, broadcaster, screenwriter and director of radio programs, collaborations on television and the Internet...He defines himself as: "A worker of art and culture" Since May 10, 1962, he has had a relationship with Mª Luisa Barrio Aira “Maruxiña”, with whom he has two children: Felipe Gertrudix and Manuel Gértrudix Barrio.
