US singer born in Olive Branch, Mississippi and raised in East Palo Alto, California. In 1974 she and her sister Phyllis Duncan moved to Memphis, Tennessee where they met Ian Guenther and Pete Pedersen of Canadian production outfit Three Hats Productions. This led to forming the act Duncan Sisters which folded in the early 1980s, after which the sisters continued to sing together and individually. In 1991 Helen moved to Oakland, California. Daughter of Willie Joe Duncan.
