American alto blues radio singer and musician.
Born December 9, 1910 in Wisconsin, USA. Died August 31, 1985 (aged 74).
Married to crooning singer/songwriter Jack Owens in February of 1933. Later on she appeared with him and their children including Mary Ann Owens on his television show.
She sang and did the musical arrangements for "The Foursome", a vocal group consisting of her, Connie Tredwell (soprano), George Vassos (tenor), and Harley Streiff (baritone). Helen did most of the solo singing in the group.
She had a weekly radio show on WTBO radio in 1933 and was the star of the musical "The Paradise Girl of Chicago".
