Principal figure of the independent New Orleans record labels Minit, Minit, Minit, and Minit, among others.
Responsible for recording prominent New Orleans artists such as Irma Thomas, Ernie K-Doe, & Aaron Neville.
Banashak is also credited with bringing to promenence Allen Toussaint, who acted as house producer at Minit & Minit in the early 60's.
