Swedish women's choir, based in Uppsala, Sweden, founded in 1986.

They have established themselves as one of Sweden's leading choirs. Conductor since 2014 is Tony Margeta. The choir has become known for mixing different genres and singing techniques, and sometimes also appears on stage, e.g. with the work "To the angel with burning hands", dedicated to La Cappella by the composer Karin Rehnqvist.

In 1986, La Cappella was formed by the conductor Robert Sund, who for the choir's 25th anniversary dedicated Voices and the Voice, texts set to music about Maria Magdalena by Christer Åsberg. The piece was also dedicated to the Norwegian women's choir Cantus. The choir has collaborated with, among others, Stefan Parkman, Esa-Pekka Salonen and Karin Rehnqvist.

In 1994, La Cappella won the women's choir class in the international choir competition in Oskarshamn. In 1996 they competed in Skinnskatteberg and won LRF's first prize and in 1998 the choir won the special class in the county final in the choir competition "Toner for millions". In April 2004, La Cappella competed in the "Concors corale internazionale" in Riva del Garda. The choir won the women's choir class and received the highest score of all the participants.

In 2015, La Cappella participated in "Voci dal Lido", an international choral competition in Lido di Jesolo (Italy) and won the sacred category as well as the women's choir class. In addition, the choir won the Grand Prix with the overall highest score of the competition.

In June 2016, the choir participated in the Grieg International Choir Festival in Bergen, Norway, winning the sacred category and coming second in the "Contemporary music" category.

In the fall of 2016, La Cappella arranged "Ladies' Choir 2016" – a national women's choir festival where 25 choirs with a total of approx. 460 choir singers participated.

In May 2018, La Cappella participated in the 14th International Choir Competition and Festival Bad Ischl. The choir, in competition with 23 choirs from 15 nations, won both their categories; sacral category and the women's choir category. In addition, the choir finished as the winner of the Grand Prix (Bad Ischl Chorpreis 2018) with the highest score of the competition.
