Active Los Yacks 1965 - 1976
Group formed in 1965 by
Guzmán López Costa “Gus”, bass guitar;
Ramón Roig Zornoza;
José Ramón Carretero Llopis "El Nano";
José Vicente Segarra Martí, on drums.
With this training they will stay together for almost nine years. They began to perform on Sunday afternoons in La Pobla de Vallbona - València. From there they went to the Pista Fallera in Benicalap and later to the Choral Society "El Micalet", together with the group "Los Kanguros" and then "Sound Blaster". From these actions, they were already put in the hands of representatives who provided them with contracts to act throughout the Valencian Community. On September 5, 1967, they participated in the First Festival of the "Song Ye-Ye" of Moncada - València, interpreting a well-known song "Lola", and another unpublished, "Sed De Amor". In that same month and year, they participate in a contest sponsored by the afternoon newspaper "Jornada", where they win the first prize. The second was for the group
Los Gritos, and the third for the “Cuerdas Vibrantes”. The prize was the recording of a disc in the company of Gramófono Odeón. and its presentation on Spanish Television. After a few months nothing was known about this, but the group had already acquired musical experience for the recording of an single and they contacted the Valencian composer
Marisa Simó, who provided them with two songs for the recording of a single , for the Gramófono Odeón label, the songs “La Vaca Lola”, and “Así Rezamos Hoy”, a single that was released in 1968. They had two songs for another second album with the titles “El Reloj De La Torre” , and "Nada Me Importa", songs recorded with twenty musicians, although it was never released. The only change occurred in the group when Julio Olmos replaced Guzmán for a period of 3 months for military service. Little by little, the group disintegrated until it disappeared.In the summer of 1974,
José Vicente Segarra Martí re-founded the group, and the new
Los Yacks joined:
Alberto Sales Valls, on bass guitar;
Gerardo Fortuny Soler, on keyboard,
Eduardo Perpiñá Navarro, on guitar. They debut on October 5 late 1974 in the Bruno 's room in València. On July 16, 1975, they recorded at the Gramófono Odeón. Studios, an album with the songs “Sentí Tus Pasos”, and “I Love You”, both songs composed by
José Fernández Salvador and [a= José A. Puchalt Muñoz] of the
Grup Elipse of Torrent - València. The last performance of this second of the
Los Yacks line-ups was on December 26, 1975 at the La Nit de Xátiva nightclub. In 1976 and with new members, they gave way to a new formation that they called “Pacto 7”, and later some of the members would become part of “Los Bracos”.

Con esta formación permanecerán juntos casi nueve años. Empezaron a actuar los domingos por la tarde en La Pobla de Vallbona - València. De ahí pasaron a la Pista Fallera de Benicalap y posteriormente a la Sociedad Coral “El Micalet”, junto al grupo “Los Kanguros” y luego “Sound Blaster”. A partir de estas actuaciones, ya se pusieron en manos de representantes quienes les proporcionaron contratos para actuar por toda la Comunidad Valenciana. El 5 de septiembre de 1967, participan en el Primer Festival de la “Canción Ye-Ye” de Moncada - València, interpretando un tema conocido “Lola”, y otro inédito, “Sed De Amor”. En ese mismo mes y año, participan en un concurso patrocinado por el periódico de la tarde "Jornada", donde alcanzan el primer premio. El segundo fue para el grupo
Los Gritos, y el tercero para los “Cuerdas Vibrantes”. Se daba como premio la grabación de un disco en la compañía del Gramófono Odeón., y su presentación en Televisión Española. Al cabo de unos meses nada se supo de esto, pero el grupo, ya había adquirido experiencia musical para la grabación de un disco y contactan con la compositora Valenciana
Marisa Simó, quién les proporcionó dos canciones para la grabación de un sencillo, para el sello Gramófono Odeón, los temas “La Vaca Lola”, y "Así Rezamos Hoy”, single que salió al mercado en 1968. Tenían dos temas para otro segundo disco con los títulos “El Reloj De La Torre”, y “Nada Me Importa”, temas grabados con veinte músicos, aunque nunca llegó a editarse. El único cambio se produciría en el grupo cuando, Julio Olmos sustituyó a Guzmán durante un periodo de 3 meses por el servicio militar. Poco a poco, el grupo se fue disgregando hasta desaparecer. En el verano de 1974,
José Vicente Segarra Martí vuelve a refundar el grupo, y entran a formar parte los nuevos Yacks:
Alberto Sales Valls, en la guitarra de bajos;
Gerardo Fortuny Soler, al teclado;
Eduardo Perpiñá Navarro, a la guitarra. Debutan el 5 de octubre de 1974 en la sala Bruno‘s de València. El 16 de julio de 1975, graban en los estudios Gramófono Odeón un disco con los temas “Sentí Tus Pasos”, y “I Love You”, ambos temas composiciones de
José Fernández Salvador y
José A. Puchalt Muñoz del
Grup Elipse de Torrent - València. La última actuación de esta segunda de los formación de
Los Yacks, fue el 26 de diciembre de 1975 en la discoteca la Nit de Xátiva. En 1976 y con nuevos componentes, dan paso a una nueva formación a la que llaman “Pacto 7”, y posteriormente algunos de los miembros pasarían a formar parte de “Los Bracos”.
