Hailing from Manchester, Mark Hadfield’s career in the music industry as a tea boy at Moonraker Studios, where he eventually progressed to become mix engineer. By night Mark had begun to spend much time performing on the rave circuit with Danny 'Doo Lally D' Bennetts [a=Hibrid] Alongside Childhood friend, Stephen Wood, he created Northern Rave giants [a=Rhythm Quest] and was a regular performer on the Northern Rave Circuit, sharing the bill at many nights including The Tunnel, Nation, Kellys with other bands such as The Prodigy & SLII. He was approached by [a=Pete Waterman] [l=PWL] in 1994 and agreed to set up & run dance label [l=Eastern Bloc Records] along with Paul Taylor and Paul Waterman. The label had success with club/chart hits including [a=Atlantic Ocean] (Waterfall & Body in Motion) and signed [a=Armand Van Helden] first ever release. They also enjoyed 4 top 40 UK hits as a group [a=LOVELAND] (feat. [a=Rachel Mcfarlane] (Let the Music lift you up, I need somebody, Don't make me wait, Keep on Shining) and at the same time the group were carving out a career as one of the UKs most successful producer/remixers. In 1997 under the new name ‘Movers & Shakers’ Mark & Paul Waterman remixed hits for artists including [a=Kylie Minogue], [a=Donna Summer], [a=Culture Beat] and [a=Dominica] (I gotta let you go) New style dance trend Trance saw the birth of [a=LUCID (45)] in 1998 with hits (I can't help myself, Crazy, Stay with me till dawn) Further success followed when Manchester artist [a=Emmie]’- (More Than This) hit the UK charts at No:5 Mark also released records under further aliases Azaman 'Celebration' & Andre Neumann feat. [a=Sheryl Jay]. Some time was then spent writing & producing pop songs for acts such as [a=S Club 7] A little later, Mark returned to his club roots with [a=The Lovefreekz] 'Shine' featuring a re-recorded section of the [a=ELO] song (Shine a little Love) entering the UK charts at No. 6 and was instrumental in reigniting ELO's comeback. A greatest hits album released and new material produced. In 2012 he collaborated with [a=Sia] [a=Ne-Yo] [a=StarGate (2)] and [a=Mike Di Scala], enjoying UK No. 1 success & US Billboard Hot 100 No.6 position, Co-writing & producing the Multi-Platinum selling, award winning song (Let me love you, until you learn to love yourself) Following this, Mark & Mike wrote & produced (Bounce) a hit for US based Aussie rap star [a=Iggy Azalea] and songs with [a=Rita Ora]
