Nicolas Jack Davies

Nicolas "Nick" Jack Davies is a British filmmaker based in London, who is best known for music videos and music-related documentaries. He directed videos for Coldplay, Elbow, The Maccabees, PJ Harvey, Laura Marling, [url=/artist/1103608]White Lies[/url], and [url=/artist/598334]James Morrison[/url], to name a few. In 2010, Davies co-directed [url=/master/3184224]Look Back, Don't Stare: A Film About Progress[/url] documentary about Take That's brief second reunion with Robbie Williams. His Mumford & Sons tour film [url=/master/584252?format=NTSC]The Road To Red Rocks[/url] was nominated for the "Best Music Film" Grammy Awards in 2014. Other notable works by Nick Davies include a documentary Rudeboy (The Story Of Trojan Records) in 2018, about the seminal London-based label Trojan Records, his Gorillaz TV special [url=/master/1825713]Song Machine Live Kong[/url] in 2020, and a biopic Omar and Cedric: If This Ever Gets Weird about longtime friends and creative partners, Omar Rodriguez-Lopez and Cedric Bixler-Zavala, co-produced by [url=/label/1109915]Clouds Hill[/url]/Trojan Records and premiered at Trojan Records festival in March 2024.
