American steel guitar player. The "Dean of the Steel Guitar", was born November 14, 1917 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, died on August 31, 1974. Steel Guitar Hall of Fame (1981) Played with well as Bob Wills, Spade Cooley, Merle Travis and others, as well as leading his own bands.
He was a personal friend of Leo Fender who made many prototype steel guitars for Boggs.
