Omar El Abd (also known as omrr) (born 22 September 1983), a musician and sound artist based in Cairo, Egypt. In 2004 Omar El Abd joined the Egyptian progressive rock band Forgotten Notes as a guitarist. Following the band's breakup in 2008, Omar El Abd started his solo musical work. In February 2016 he released his EP Dulcet Noise on the label Silent Flow. In October 2016 he released his album The Quiet Ones on the Spheredelic label. In November 2016, he joined the French label Eilean Records, releasing his album Music for the Anxious. In September 2017 he joined the Russian label Dronarivm releasing his album Devils for my Darling. The equipment and software he uses for his music includes: Reaktor, Max (software), Omnisphere 2, Arturia Plugins, Waves Audio plugins, Ableton Live, guitar pedals and field-recording.
